SmartBizz POS, engineered by DevMonks (devmonks.space), keeps your business records with you. We believe your sales records, customer invoices, and product or menu pricing belong to you.
Offline package: Works securely on your device without depending on the cloud. Export an encrypted backup whenever you like and restore it on another device.
Basic, Standard, Premium and Enterprise packages: Your business data stays in your own Google Drive. We do not take your business data; only limited usage analytics such as bill counts are collected.
We do not sell personal or business data, we do not track user location, and dine-in guest table QR ordering does not require a customer phone number or account registration.
1. Scope & applicability
This Privacy Policy applies to the SmartBizz POS Android Application distributed via the Google Play Store, the SmartBizz Digital Table QR Ordering Web Portal (located at /r/), and related web services hosted on smartdine-pos.web.app and smartbizz.devmonks.space.
2. Information we handle & where it is stored
Where your records are kept depends on your package. On the Offline package, business records are kept on your device. On Basic and above, they are kept on your devices and in a Google Sheet in your own Google Drive. We do not send your operational data to advertising or telemetry networks. The table below lists what is handled:

3. Android device permissions required by the app
To operate seamlessly on restaurant floors, the SmartBizz Android app requests the following specific operating system permissions in full compliance with Google Play Developer Policies:
- Bluetooth (
BLUETOOTH,BLUETOOTH_CONNECT,BLUETOOTH_SCAN): Used exclusively to discover, pair with, and transmit ESC/POS raw print commands to 58mm (2-inch) and 80mm (3-inch) wireless Bluetooth thermal receipt printers. - Internet & Network State (
INTERNET,ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE): Used to verify subscription license validity, synchronize KOT orders with your Google Spreadsheet, and communicate with the Kitchen Display System (KDS). - Camera (
CAMERA- Optional): Used solely when a staff member uses the in-app barcode/QR camera scanner to look up inventory items or read customer table standees. - Storage & USB Access: Used to interface with USB thermal receipt printers, trigger RJ11 cash drawer kicks, and export passphrase-protected device database backups (
.backupfiles).
4. Google API services & Google Drive limited use disclosure
SmartBizz integrates with Google Sheets and Google Drive to give store owners full ownership of their financial database. SmartBizz's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements:
- We only request scopes strictly necessary to read and write your restaurant's dedicated spreadsheets (
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/spreadsheets,drive.file). - We do not access, read, or inspect personal emails, photos, contacts, or unrelated Google Drive files.
- Your Google Drive data is not transferred, sold, or shared with external advertising networks, data brokers, or AI model trainers.
5. Data security & cryptographic safeguards
We implement industry-standard technical measures to safeguard operations:
- Encrypted payload transmission: Web ordering communication utilizes TLS 1.3 / HTTPS encryption and HMAC-SHA256 authenticated signatures.
- On-device storage: Sales are recorded in encrypted Hive storage on the device, so billing does not depend on the cloud during a broadband outage.
- Passphrase-protected archives: Manual data backups are encrypted using AES-256 with a security passphrase chosen by the store owner.
6. Children's Online Privacy Protection (COPPA)
SmartBizz POS is a commercial enterprise point-of-sale and business operations software application designed for commercial venues. We do not direct our services to children under the age of 13, nor do we knowingly collect personal data from children.
7. Account & data deletion requests
On Basic and above, SmartBizz stores business records in your own Google Drive, so you can delete or archive your spreadsheets at any time. On the Offline package, business records are kept on your device.
To request the permanent removal of your organization account, license profile, or device registration records from our cloud licensing directory, please submit a request on our dedicated Data Deletion Request Page or email smartdine.platform@gmail.com. Requests are completed within 48 business hours.
